Mahavigyan by Sri Sri 108 Mahatma Baikaldas Part -9

King Dashratha was cursed that he would remain without son. Brahma, who is entitled to create, was not impartial in this respect. Vashishthaji called Shringi Rishi, who performed Yagna and the four sons - Ram, Laxman, Bharat and Shatrusudan were born. Brahma is blamed and he is not worshipped. So one should be impartial while performing her/his duties otherwise (s)he is blamed. This is something to ponder upon.

Mangal bhavan amangal hari
Drvahu so dasharath ajir bihari

Source of fortune, eliminator of misfortune
The One strolling in Dasharatha’s courtyard, be merciful

Shringi risahi vasishth bulawa
Putra hetu priya jagya karava

Rishi Shringi was called by Vasishtha
To perform a yajna to beget son

This is not false. Everyone is to pay for his falsehood. Brahma is born from the navel lotus of Vishnu and Ram is incarnation of Vishnu. Brahma creates the universe but still he is not worshipped because of his pride.

According to Vedas deerskin is worn at the time of Yagyopavit. But in kaliyug saints wear it inappropriately. This is not according to scriptures but without studying Vedas and without making any enquiry they think of themselves as learned saints. This happened in Satyug, Treta then why shouldn’t it happen in Kaliyug? Defects of the rich people are ignored. Saints perform Yagna for money, leaving their dharma which is not appropriate. How much sin can this earth bear?

Now is given the description of Budh (wednesday). Son should be greater than his father, as were Lav and Kush. Their father Ram killed Ravan and many other demons and they defeated many warriors like Laxman, Shatrughan, Bharat, Hanuman, Angad. They were one-step ahead of their father. Budh is blemished. He is placed behind his father Guru(Jupiter). Budh is also considered to be the son of Moon. You have already read about moon’s blame. As was written before, that son is good who respects his father and, friend in need is friend indeed. Budh was born as son of Arjun in Dwapar. You have read this in the Mahabharat. Every assortment has shortcomings. Therefore, a person should always be very careful.

Bade bhag manush tan paya
Sur durlabh sadgranthan gaya

It is great fortune to have human body
The scriptures sing of its rarity

We get this human body rarely. You should do the noble deeds, cultivate virtues and eliminate vices. If you look at it, the body is made of excreta. Dirt of clothes is washed off by soap and the dirt of mind can be cleaned by chanting the name of Ram, then you will be human. This is my only instruction to the aspirants. I was alone but Hanuman ji gave me this knowledge. You will be in satovritti while reading this book.

Now is given the description of Guru (Thursday; Jupiter). Guru word is composed of two letters ‘Gu’ and ‘Ru’. ‘Gu’ denotes darkness and ‘Ru’ denotes light. We get sorrow from darkness. In Mahabharat we read:

Vyas dev upma kahin dono dalhi vichar
Arjun pran jaidarth vadh bal apraudha nar

Vyas observed the two sides and wrote
Acting like a silly girl, Arjun vowed to kill Jaydrath

Vyas had to write about darkness and light. Vyas ji was immensely learned and he created many of our scriptures. There are two types of human- 1. divine and 2.demonic.

Divine love light and demonic love dark. Arjun and Dharmraj are divine who had faith in Shree Krishna. Kauravas were of demonic nature because they were sons of a blind. They were unable to reach light. Man loves darkness these days. In Dwapar Lord Krishna was there but even then Kauravas remained in darkness, because they were very much attached to wife, son and wealth that made them blind. Pandavas were living with light because they knew that the earth is best in this world and it cures all pains of everyone. Due to this knowledge they were not sad at the time of exile. We can live with light with little effort these days.

Noble deeds can be done only when there is light. By grace of Guru, the eyes of the conscience are opened and one gets light. There is darkness inside and it is the prime duty of every human to remove it. ‘Gu’ means darkness and ‘Ru’ means light. To be with light is beautiful.

If you want details, Arjun vowed to kill Jaidratha. Youthful lady likes the darkness of night as it gives opportunity to meet her beloved and have sensual pleasure. But in the absence of her beloved the same darkness is the cause of sorrow. Arjuna in ignorance took vow but Krishna helped him.

Now is given the description of Shukra or Venus (Friday).
