Acyutāsͅtͅakam
Lord Krishna is perhaps the most well known incarnation of God. What makes him the most special and important is that he is the most intense manifestation of the Ultimate – King of kings, cowherd, diplomat and statesman, wrestler, artist and performer, embodiment of wisdom, charioteer, and more. The Bhagvadgita, articulated by him on the battlefield of Kurukshetra encapsulates the age old wisdom of the six traditions of Indian philosophy (Sankhya , Nyay, Vaisheshik, Mimansa, Yoga, Vedanta).It is easy for anybody to connect to him – he can be thought of as friend, father, beloved, guide, brother and more!
अच्युतं केशवं रामनारायणं कृष्णदामोदरं वासुदेवं हरिम् । श्रीधरं माधवं गोपिकावल्लभं जानकीनायकं रामचंद्रम भजे ।।1।।
Acyutam Kēs̒avam Rām Nārāyanͅam Krͅsͅnͅadāmōdaram Vāsudēvam Harim । S̒rīdharam Mādhavam Gōpikāvallabham Jānakīnāyakam Rāmcandram Bhajē ।।1।।
Imperishable, handsome haired, Rām, the first being Spellbinding (Krͅsͅnͅa), the one with rope around his waist (dāmōdara), in whom all beings dwell, remover of sins. Bearer of S̒rī (cosmic energy), bestower of pleasure, beloved of gopess Jānakī’s consort Ram – I pray to Him.
अच्युतं केशवं सत्यभामाधवं माधवं श्रीधरं राधिकाराधितम् । इंदिरामन्दिरं चेतसा सुन्दरं देवकीनन्दनं नन्दजं सन्दधे ।।2।।
Acyutam Kēs̒avam Satyabhāmādhavam Mādhavam S̒rīdharam Rādhikārādhitam । Indirāmandiram cētasāsundaram Dēvakīnandanam Nandajam Sandadhē ।।2।। Acyuta, Kēs̒ava, Satyabhāmā’s partner Mādhava, S̒rīdhar, worshipped by Rādha. abode of prosperity, the most beautiful Dēvakī’s son, Nanda’s son–I meditate on you.
>विष्णवे जिष्णवे शंखिने चक्रिणे रुक्मिणीरागिणे जानकीजानये । वल्लवीवल्लभायार्चितायात्मने कंसविध्वंसिने वंशिने ते नमः ।।3।।

कृष्ण गोविन्द हे राम नारायण श्रीपते वासुदेवाजित श्रीनिधे। अच्युतानंत हे माधवाधोक्षज द्वारकानायक द्रौपदीरक्षक ।।4।।
Krͅsͅnͅ Gōvind Hē Rām Nārāyanͅ S̒rīpatē Vāsudēvājit S̒rīnidhē । Acyutānant Hē Mādhavādhōksͅaja Dwārakānāyaka Draupadīraksͅaka ।।4।। Krͅsͅnͅ, restrainer of senses, O! Rām, Nārāyanͅ Lord of S̒rī, Vāsudēva, unconquered, abode of S̒rī . Acyuta, infinite, O! Mādhava, transcends sense born knowledge Ruler of Dwārakā, protector of Draupadī .
राक्षसक्षोभितः सीतया शोभितो दण्डकारण्यभूपुण्यताकारणः । लक्ष्मणेनान्वितो वानरैः सेवितो अगस्त्यसम्पूजितो राघवः पातु माम् ।।5।।
Rāksͅasaksͅōbhitahͅ Sītayā s̒ōbhitō Danͅdͅakāranͅyabhūpunͅyatākāranͅahͅ । Laksͅmanͅēnānvitō Vānaraihͅ Sēvitō Agastyasampūjitō Rāghavahͅ Pātumām ।।5।। Annoyer of demons, graced by Sītā purifier of land of the Danͅdͅaka forest . followed by Laksͅmanͅa, served by monkeys worshipped by Agastya, descendent of Raghu – Protect me .
धेनुकारिष्टकानिष्टकृद्द्वेषिहा केशिहा कंसहृद्वंशिकावादकः । पूतनाकोपकः सूरजाखेलनो बालगोपालकः पातु मां सर्वदा ।।6।।
Dhēnukārisͅtͅakānisͅtͅakrͅddwēsͅihā Kēs̒ihā Kanshrͅdwans̒ikāvādakahͅ । Pūtanākōpakahͅ sūrajākhēlanō Bālagōpālakahͅ pātu mām sarvadā ।।6।। Destroyer of demons Dhēnuka and Arisͅtͅāsur terminator of demon Kēs̒ī, executioner of Kans, flute player . who raged at Pūtanā, who roams at banks of Yamuna little child Gōpāla – protect me always .
विद्युदुद्योतवत्प्रस्फुरद्वाससं प्रावृडम्भोदवत्प्रोल्लसद्विग्रहम् । वन्यया मालया शोभितोरःस्थलं लोहिताङ्घ्रिद्वयं वारिजाक्षं भजे ।।7।।
Vidyududyōtavatprasphuradwāsasam Pravrͅdͅambhōdavatprōllasadvigraham । Vanyayā mālayā s̒obhitōrahͅsthalam Lōhitāṅghridwayam vārijāksͅam bhajē ।।7।। Whose yellow cloak appears like lightning whose complexion is like raining clouds . wild-flower garland graces whose chest who has reddish soles – I pray to the lotus-eyed one .
कुञ्चितैः कुन्तलैर्भ्राजमानाननं रत्नमौलिम् लसत्कुण्डलं गण्डयोः । हारकेयूरकं कंकणप्रोज्ज्वलं किंकिणी मञ्जुलं श्यामलं तं भजे ।।8।।
Kuñcitaihͅ Kuntalairbhrājamānānanam Ratnamaulim lasatkunͅdͅalam ganͅdͅayohͅ । Hārakēyūrakam Kaṅkanͅaprōjjwalam Kiṅkinͅī mañjualam S̒yāmalam tam bhajē ।।8।। Curly locks grace whose face who is graced by bejeweled crown on his forehead, and earrings . glittering necklace, armlet, bracelet tinkling anklet – I pray to the charming Syam (dark complexioned) .
अच्युतस्याष्टकं यः पठेदिष्टदं प्रेमतः प्रत्यहं पूरुषः सस्पृहम् । वृत्ततः सुन्दरं कर्तृविश्वम्भर. स्तस्य वश्यो हरिर्जायते सत्वरम् ।।9।।
Acyutasyāsͅtͅakam yahͅ pathēdisͅtͅadam Prēmatahͅ pratyaham pūrusͅahͅ sasprͅham । Vrͅttatahͅ sundaram kartrͅvis̒vambhara- stasya vas̒yō harirjāyatē satvaram ।।9।। Acyutasyāsͅtͅaka read regulary read with love and devotion by a person .
